“The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply that they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings”.
— Sir James Matthew Barrie

Captured these two Brahminy Kites soaring around each other in the highlands of Sta. Maria, Davao del Sur.  These raptors are very fascinating to watch (if you don’t mind your stiff neck afterwards).

Read my article, The Hidden Wonders of Sta. Maria, to know more about the location

This is the Brahminy Kite in the Philippine Eagle Foundation and Philippine Eagle Center center up in Malagos, Baguio District in Davao.

  1. Jojie, the Brahminy Kites are as beautiful as our bald Eagles. I especially love your photo of the one sitting. It shows perfect details.

I can watch the eagles play high over my house. It is astonishing how much the juvenile birds resemble teenagers when they chase each other out of joy. 🙂
