Know what you want

“Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed.” ― Paulo Coelho

Oh the places you will go!

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Reload 013: Love, Peace and Unity

RELOAD,  REFRESH, RESTART  013 –  It’s what we do in our computers. So with life, we take a break.  If all else fails, REFORMAT.  This clip has been reposted and viewed a million times over on youtube, but it still does wonders to the human heart.  And no, Love, Peace and Unity are not their names, but you can call them ambassadors of humanity.

In the soul of a child

“No one has yet fully realized the wealth of sympathy, kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure.” ~ Emma Goldman, author This image won in two competitions, the other one on Pbase’ Show and Tell Competition with the title, Shy.  She is just one of those children who stole my heart while I was staying in the little town of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur. A child’s sweet smile

“Children keep us in check. Their laughter prevents our hearts from hardening. Their dreams ensure we never lose our drive to make ours a better world. They are the greatest disciplinarians known to mankind.” ~ Queen Rania of Jordan When I chanced upon this child in the remote coastal shore of Tabina (Zamboanga del Sur), he had his back to me, sitting on a log, looking somewhat forlornly at the distant horizon.
