In Kembali Coast of Island Garden City of Samal, it has been observed by Project Development Consultant Hitoshi Onozawa and his staff for a few years that several green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) bury their eggs beneath the warm sands at night.

Swimming with Giant Clams

Schlesinger, Biogeochemist Tridacna is a genus of large saltwater clams, marine bivalve mollusks in the subfamily Tridacninae, the giant clams. Unfortunately, the global conservation status is listed as Vulnerable in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.  All species of giant clams are listed in CITES (Convention on Inernational Trade of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna).  In the Philippines, it is locally known as “taklobo”.

Beautiful people do not just happen out of the blue

Beautiful people do not just happen.” ~ Elizabeth Kubler-Ross This old photo was one of my favorites, taken in Pearl Farm Beach Resort, Samal Island.  She (Sharon) was one of the models for the resort’s brochure we were shooting.  During one of the breaks, I asked her to pose for me playfully, and I disappeared behind her.  She probably wondered where I went because I didn’t take a frontal shot.
