Street kids

Street kids by Jojie Alcantara

Street kids by Jojie Alcantara

“But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.” ~ William Butler Yeats
Passed by these Badjao kids during my street photography workshop with a small group of participants. Both looked preoccupied with their minds elsewhere, one has this faraway look in her eyes. But just like any other kid, they go on dreaming, unfazed by life and poverty.

  1. A lot of street children jd dre sa Cebu. It squeezes my heart bsta makakita ko sa mga bata. They’re very very young but they’re already exposed with the society’s cruelty. 😦
