My published photo in Smile Magazine, May 2014
“I believe in the city as a natural human environment, but we must humanize it. It’s art that will re-define public space in the 21st Century. We can make our cities diverse, inspirational places by putting art, dance and performance in all its forms into the matrix of street life.” ~ Antony Gormley
Here is my beloved city of Davao represented by two most familiar landmarks in the heart of downtown area (only inside page, not the cover). On the left is San Pedro Cathedral where my Mom and Dad had gotten married back in the late 60s. In front of the prominent church is the Commemorative Monument of Peace and Unity.
This photo used to be published in a passport size box along with other fast facts on flight destinations. On this May issue of Cebu Pacific’s Smile inflight magazine, it was given more than half a page (with notes from a writer). So I feel happy and proud of my very clean city.
Come visit Davao City now!
