“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.” ~ Anne Lamott
Sunrise in stunning, muted glow slowly peeks from above layers of thick, white clouds that softly blanket the islands as I flew to Davao City from Cagayan de Oro City after my photography workshop last year. Most often, when I look out the window during flights, the miracle of nature at work holds me spellbound, while at the same time teaching me never to lose faith and hope. © Jojie Alcantara 2013
I say a silent prayer for the missing passengers of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in hopes that they were able to see such light before they were gone. May their good souls rest in eternal peace. May the bereaved families embrace the painful closure and healing they need.
