“Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice: It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.” ~ William Jennings Bryan

Mati’s local boy wonder Sonny Boy Aporbo, or Bayugyug, proudly carries the Philippine flag as he does a demo on Dahican waters, where his rigid training with mentor George Jun Plaza bore fruit when he bought home championship trophies from competitions abroad like HongKong and Malaysia. Bayugyug is a member of the popular Amihan Boys. Mati City has just celebrated a weeklong Sambuokan Festival (October 23-27), filling the beaches with locals and tourists alike.
