Above the clouds

“I owned the world that hour as I rode over it. free of the earth, free of the mountains, free of the clouds, but how inseparably I was bound to them.” ~ Charles Lindbergh

This could be the tip of Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines.  I have climbed this mountain once in my life.  I captured this image with my small camera en route from Cagayan de Oro City to Davao City on a cool, cotton cloudy day (40 minutes by plane, 7 hours by land travel).  We were flying at a low altitude in a turbo prop Cebu Pacific plane on an early morning flight.  This is why I love aerial photography. 🙂
