Upcycling Designer Maej Villanueva, my good friend who now resides in Bali, Indonesia, advocates creative recycling + promoting household waste segregation + reviving Philippine cottage industry (CPR). Her mission is to promote upcycling as an alternative income-generating activity for housewives and poor communities.

Loud Plastics Creation by Maej is your only fashionable conversational piece in to saving Earth. A fashion design is born from the creative mind of a recycling advocate.

Since 2009, LPC by Maej, together with communities trained, have converted over 5,500 plastic bags into creative pieces. Over 150 women and children in Mindanao, Philippines have been provided with creative recycling skills.

In 2011, LPC goes to Bali, Indonesia and have trained more than fifty local women, children and refugees in various locations: Lombok island, Denpasar and Bogor.

2012 was an exciting year as LPC joins World Relief Indonesia for its Un/Plastic Project to train more women and develop a product portfolio for an e-auction on November for US Market.
