Sunset in Davao from Samal by Jojie Alcantara
“At some point in life, the world’s beauty becomes enough.” — Toni Morrison
Sunset in my beloved Davao City was painted with warm colors as I viewed the skies from the ferryboat, crossing the Davao Gulf from the Island Garden City of Samal. The country’s highest peak, Mount Apo, is viewed majestically from a distance. It was a friend of mine who first noticed in my photo how the clouds parted to give way to a “cross”. I feel so humbled.
