“I live in the space of thankfulness – and I have been rewarded a million times over for it. I started out giving thanks for small things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased. That’s because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
In my search for suitable inspiring words about gratitude and counting your blessings, it’s Oprah’s quote which struck me the most, because I find it true in my life.
All these years I have subconsciously embraced a mindset of being contented with what I have. The more I show gratitude with the little things that come my way, the more that my channel is open to receiving more blessings, mostly surprising and unexpected ones. I can’t tell you enough how true it is that “the more thankful I become, the more my bounty increased“. I can’t even list down stuff that I am thankful for, because they grow more each day, and I don’t even mean material things. There is no more room for envy, nor jealousy, only humility and contentment.
If you don’t believe me, then at least listen to Oprah. Between us, she is the billionaire. Dwell in the space of thankfulness, and you will see the changes.
This photo was taken of me during our visit to Kublai’s Art Garden in Kapatagan, Davao del Sur. It is the best photo I can think of depicting my gratitude in life.
So today, thank you for dropping by my blog and reading this post. It means a lot to be appreciated for my thoughts.
Coming up: images of Kublai’s Art Garden and Agong House — a Playground in the Skies
