This family is heading towards the festivity. It’s quite a typical sight in the province. Motorcycle madness is a normal mode of transportation.

Mati City, the capital of Davao Oriental province, was once a quiet seaside community now laden with beach resorts lining coconut-filled shores, offering amenities and island banca tours to islets and secret coves. It has now become a most visited destination 3 hours away from Davao City. Sambuokan Festival 2011 is its week long festive celebration of both thanksgiving and observance of the commemoration of its founding anniversary every 29th of October.
