“People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within”. ~ Ramona L. Anderson
Self-portrait, how it was done.
Set the timer. Place your camera on top of the fridge or anything on a higher stable elevation (note: not the top of a TV set, I tried that, my camera fell).
Run across the room to the window sill, jump up, steady yourself, catch your breath and hold still. Note to self before the jump: make sure the windows are tightly closed and locked.
Do this for several times until you get it right, find your favorite shot, or drop from exhaustion. Below shows the actual distance I ran across from the camera setup to the window.
Satisfied after the 20th attempt? Then get some sleep afterwards.
(Solo and most likely a bored activity from the 18th floor of Marco Polo Hotel, Beijing, China)
