Me and a scorpion

Shooting for a magazine can sometimes be hazardous to your health.

Here I am holding on to a giant scorpion owned by Gary Go. It’s just one of his hundreds of exotic pets which include tarantulas, geckos and pythons.  He was one those we featured in M Magazine in 2011 (I am one of two chief photographers) as young individuals and their favorite pets. I had no problem with those who posed for me with pet dogs at the park. With him, however, we had to go inside his room stuffed with several cages for his exotic animals which can at any time slither out of the glass cages and make food out of you.

It didn’t seem to bother him, anyway. We also came out of the shoot alive and sting-free. 🙂
